Updates from our Teachers...

"In our 4th and 5th grade class, we are celebrating Black History Month for the month of February. We are learning about the contributions of different African Americans and celebrating their successes throughout history. Our students are eagerly awaiting our Valentines Day party and have been preparing in class for this event. They are showing their creative ability and decorating Valentine boxes to store the cards they receive from their classmates. The students enjoy using their artistic abilities and sharing their projects with their classmates. Our students have been enjoying their weekly specials including art, physical education, music, and Spanish. In Spanish, they have conquered the alphabet, numbers, and colors and are learning to pronounce words using their knowledge of the Spanish alphabet. They have come such a long way and show progress each week. Other exciting news: Our 4th and 5th grade class has joined with the kindergartens to create “Reading Buddies.” Every Thursday, we make the journey to Mrs. Budnik’s kindergarten class and read to her students. Both classes enjoy this time and look forward to it throughout the week. They have formed new friendships and have been good examples to the Kindergartners. "
