Kindergarten at CT Prep

Our Kindergarten program is a full day of fun and preparation for young active minds. With Gym, Spanish and Art classes your child will exceed your expectations as they learn and grow in their new environment.

Updates from our Teachers...

"Exciting is the word for the kindergarten class this month as our students were busy decorating valentine's boxes with stickers and their original drawings. Centers and Reading circles are two of the favorite activities of the day with all the students sounding out words and putting sentences together in the readers. At center time the children choose between computer, blocks, writing center, small manipulatives (Legos, K'nex, etc), and this week, a dinosaur store where they can practice using coins, pennies and dimes.

Seatwork for our young students includes practice in cursive and manuscript writing. Our children are also learning numbers and computation of simple addition and subtraction facts to ten while using small objects to count. One of their favorite activities is to guess how much candy is in the candy jar. We've had two lucky winners just this week. With Art class, gym class and Spanish lessons, we are a very busy group. It is exciting to hear our children conversing in Spanish. Senor Marco is doing a great job! Kindergarten class is very exciting at CrossT Prep."
